Inter-Con guards are selected from candidates with excellent appearance, between the ages of 20 and 40 years of age, height-weight proportional and with minimum junior high education. Each guard is also registered with the Secretary of Government, the Secretary of Public Security and had in order their national military service card and all other official documents.

Once the candidate has passed all of the established filters and complied with the basic training requirements, he is ready to begin his professional career, always under constant supervision by the higher command in Inter-Con and with permanent communications 24 hours a day via telephone and radio.
